Cemeteries are an important feature of Washington's diverse heritage. In addition to marking the final resting places of our ancestors, they yield information about our state's social, religious, artistic, and cultural heritage. They also contain genealogical information that cannot be found anywhere else.

Odd Fellows Memorial Park, Tumwater

The Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation is responsible for maintaining a centralized database and geographic information systems spatial layer of all known cemeteries and known sites of burials of human remains in Washington State.

Please note: due to RCW 42.56.300(3)(a) many of the burials and cemeteries are exempt from public disclosure.  Some information on select cemeteries is available in the property search of the public side of WISAARD.
