Local Preservation

Washington State has a rich history of helping cities and counties all across the state to establish their own preservation programs. This is facilitiated through our "Certified Local Government" and "Main Street" Programs and is managed by targeted staff members of our team. Our Certifiied Local Government (CLG) Program is in-house, and helps facilitate communties with education, outreach, and process.  The day-to-day operations of our Main Street Program have been contracted out to our statewide non-profit partner, the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation, who engage local downtown commerical areas in a preservation-based economic development tool.
