ARCHAEOLOGY MONTH EVENTS? LET US KNOW!

Archaeology Month is quickly approaching and the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation is looking for a few good public events. Our goal is to have a wide variety of topics being presented in a variety of forums across the state. Please give some thought to what types of events or lectures you would like to see happen in the month of October. This year’s Archaeology Month theme is “This Place Matters” playing on the recent release of DAHP’s first ever, made for television, Public Service Announcements which have already been circulated to all television media outlets in the state. Please feel free to call your local station and ask them for dates and time that it can been seen in your market. DAHP hopes to have an Archaeology Month list of events posted to the blog site by September 26th. Please have your submissions to Russell Holter as quickly as possible so that they can be collated and incorporated into the calendar. Here is the Submission Form. Email Russell at Russell.holter@dahp.wa.gov
