AUTHORS TO INTRODUCE "EXPLORING FORT VANCOUVER" AT LANTERN-LIT OCTOBER 13 BOOK LAUNCH INSIDE FORT VANCOUVER

A new book that tells the story of Fort Vancouver and the Pacific Northwest through artifacts will be celebrated at a unique, lantern-lit book launch inside Fort Vancouver on Thursday, October 13 at 7 p.m. Titled “Exploring Fort Vancouver,” the book was edited by Douglas Wilson and Theresa Langford of the National Park Service. The curator will also exhibit a select number of the artifacts from the museum collection that are featured in the book. The book’s publication and distribution to libraries and schools was made possible by the Clark County Historical Promotion Grant program. “Exploring Fort Vancouver” is available at the Fort Vancouver Bookstore inside the Visitor Center, 1501 E. Evergreen Blvd., Vancouver. It retails for $24.95.
