BLOG SERIES ON MARITIME RESOURCE SURVEY PROJECT (no. 1)

A Maritime Voyage… In the Fall of 2010, Artifacts Consulting, Inc. (Artifacts) was commissioned by the Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP), through funding from a Preserve America grant, to prepare a maritime resource survey for Washington’s saltwater shores. Artifacts is a historic preservation firm in Tacoma, WA, deeply rooted in its community and intensely committed to its principles. For the purpose of the maritime survey Artifacts identified ten (10) interpretive themes that would help give guidance to the survey and overview the shoreline history in the Pacific Northwest. Over the next few months, Artifacts will post a weekly update on our blog and highlight some of the interesting history  uncovered on their journey…come along for this voyage!
