CAPITOL FURNISHINGS PRESERVATION COMMITTEE SILENT AUCTION

Come and enjoy tasty hors d' oeuvres, refreshing beverages, and a chance to bid on unique art work, relics from Washington’s past, fine wine, and other curios.  Bring a friend and spend the evening savoring the ambience of the Governor's Mansion and meeting new friends all in support of the restoration of the Capitol’s historic furnishings.  A donation of $50 is suggested. The Preservation Committee does not receive any direct state appropriations.  The effort to maintain and restore historic furniture pieces in the capitol buildings is helped by a portion of the financial proceeds from sales of the state seal and purchases made at the Legislative Gift Center but the greatest source of support comes from private contributions.  Please set aside March 1 to come and be a part of this valued work. The current project of the Committee involves the Governor's Conference Room.  With the restoration of a side table and the main conference table, work begins to restore and recover the three sets of chairs used in the room.  Your generosity will help that project be completed more swiftly and beautifully!
