Celerate the WTBBL & Mid Century Auto Architecture at Open House

The WA Talking Book & Braile Library (WTBBL), a program of Secretary of State's Washington State Library, is hosting an Open House (Monday August 20th at 8pm) at its mid century modern cool home in the former S.L. Savidge Dodge & Plymouth dealership in downtown Seattle. Presenters include DAHP's National Register Program manager and noted authority on mid-century modern architecture, Michael Houser.  RSVP and donation is requested to attend.

At this special event, the WTBBL will commemorate the timeless significance with the unveiling of a new exhibit about the library and its landmark building.
A short program will include presentations by Secretary of State Kim Wyman, Lieutenant Governor Cyrus Habib, a youth WTBBL patron, and Michael Houser, with live music provided by a local quartet.
Guests are also invited to join private tours of this unique Seattle icon and to sign up for an exciting raffle. Heavy hors d’oeuvres with a delicious selection of Washington beer and wine will be served.
Because space is limited, an RSVP is required.  The suggested contribution is $50 per person.  Please RSVP online at www.wtbbl.org or call (360) 902-4171. Proceeds benefit the WTBBL Foundation.
