CLG Grant Applications Now Available!
The Certified Local Government Program (CLG) helps local governments work toward preserving Washington’s irreplaceable historic and cultural resources as assets for the future. This unique nationwide program of financial and technical assistance was established by the National Historic Preservation Act in 1980. In Washington, the CLG program is implemented and administered by the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP). Each year DAHP is required to pass through 10% of its federal funding to Certified Local Governments. We do this through a competitive grant process. Applications are available each year by the end of January and are due at the end of April. Grant contracts begin October 1 and end September 30.
