CULTURAL LANDSCAPE FOUNDATION SEEKS "LANDSLIDE" NOMINATIONS
Mar 16, 2010
Do you know of a landscape, garden, streetscape, or park that is threatened with neglect, alteration, perhaps even destruction? If so, The Cultural Landscape Foundation may be able to help publicize the situation through its annual Landslide program. Nominations for the 2010 Landslide program are due March 31 and can be submitted on-line by going to their website.
Also at the Foundation's website you can link to view landscapes that have nominated to Landslide in the past as well as information on notable preserved landscapes, oral histories of noted landscape architects such as the late Lawrence Halprin, and other programs offered by the Foundation. The Cultural Landscape Foundation is an organization founded in 1998 by noted landscape architect and preservationist Charles A. Birnbaum. The Landslide program is co-sponsored by Garden Design magazine, American Forests, American Photo, and Davey Tree Expert Company.
