DAHP Academy

Time for Training!

The Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) will host the first DAHP Academy session of 2018 at the LOTT Conference Room on April 17th from 9 a.m. until noon.  Speakers scheduled for this session are Lance Wollwage and Michael Houser.  Dr. Wollwage will be discussing a proposed new policy to streamline the permitting process for archaeological monitoring activities on construction projects.  This will be the first of several sessions to educate consultants and collect feedback prior to the enactment of the policy.

Michael Houser will spend the rest of the session discussing the finer points of writing compelling Statements of Significance based upon the survey level of effort expected by DAHP in their reporting guidelines.

Space for this DAHP Academy session is limited.  Seats will be reserved on a first come, first served basis.  Please email Beva Ubias to hold down your slot.  Please mention DAHP Academy in the subject line.  The LOTT Conference Room is located at 500 Adams Street NE, Olympia, WA.  For more information you may contact Russell Holter at 360-586-3533 or email Beva at Beverly.ubias@dahp.wa.gov.
