DAHP CULTURAL RESOURCE CONSULTANT WORKSHOP SET

DAHP plans to hold our next Cultural Resource Consultant Workshop on Wednesday, November 18th from 9am to 3pm in Olympia.

The purpose of the workshop is to provide guidance to our consultants on:
  • DAHP survey and inventory expectations,
  • site types, and the professional qualifications for recording sites
  • changes to state law regarding Cultural Resources and the protection of graves;
  • and to provide opportunities for consultants to ask questions about regulatory compliance on Section 106 and Governor’s Executive Order 05-05.
This training is limited to the first 30 registrants but future workshops will be held in Olympia throughout the winter to maximize participation.  The training is open to Cultural Resource Consultants and Public Agency resource reviewers.  A future workshop will be planned for January of 2010. The DAHP Cultural Resource Consultant Workshop will be held in DAHP’s technical classroom across the hall from our main entrance located at 1063 South Capitol Way in Olympia.  The cost of the program is FREE!  For registration information contact Russell Holter, DAHP Training Coordinator at 360-586-3533 or Russell.Holter@DAHP.wa.gov.
