DAHP, FINALIST FOR NATIONAL AWARD ON TECHNOLOGY

Allyson Brooks announced that the Washington State Historic Preservation Office’s searchable WISAARD website/data base and statewide archeological predictive model is a finalist for a national award from the American Council for Technology (ACT) - Industry Advisory Council (IAC), a non-profit, public-private partnership dedicated to improving government through the application of information technology. ACT-IAC provides an objective, ethical and trusted forum where government and industry exchange information and collaborate on technology issues in the public sector. 1. The programs are intergovernmental
2. The programs demonstrate operational eligibility
3. The programs transform the business and improve the operation of government
4. The programs reflect the President’s open government initiative and are transparent, participatory, and collaborative
5. The programs advance open government

   All the finalists have been invited to attend this year’s Management of Change Conference from May 23-25 in Philadelphia, and to exhibit at the government-only Intergovernmental Solutions Showcase. These finalists will showcase their best practices examples for the 400 plus government and industry conference attendees.  "These finalists once again demonstrate how forward thinking government agencies are when it comes to adopting innovative technologies to meet mission and business results in creative and beneficial ways," said Prashant Gaur, ACT President. "Once again, we’re very proud to showcase the best of the best.
