DON’T OWN A TUGBOAT? RENT ONE FOR OVERNIGHT

Sleep aboard the historic Tugboat Arthur Foss for a unique and fun family experience. Northwest Seaport Maritime Heritage Center at South Lake Union in Seattle is making these shipboard overnighters available from May 1 to October 1. Proceeds help Northwest Seaport continue ongoing restoration of this National Historic Landmark vessel launched in 1889. For more information, contact the Center for Wooden Boats at 206-382-2628. HISTORY IS FUN: MORE FAMILY EVENTS AT NORTHWEST SEAPORT If you can’t do an overnighter, Northwest Seaport in coordination with the Center for Wooden Boats, has come up with family-friendly programs that also celebrates our maritime heritage. Join the chorus at Chantey Sings that take place every 2nd Friday of the month from 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm at Lake Union Park. Also, for pre-schoolers and parents, enjoy Tugboat Story Time aboard the Arthur Foss to listen to sea stories and maritime picture books read aloud.  Times are from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month. The story-time is free and drop-ins are welcome.
