Free workshop sponsored by the Washington State Historical Society, Outreach Services Tuesday, March 3, 2015 State Capital Museum Coach House, Olympia Washington Opening, Registrations, Introductions 9 AM-10 AM Grant Administrator Presentations and Discussions 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Lunch Break 12:00 to 1:30 PM Heritage Capital Projects Fund Grant Coordinator Janet Rogerson, Humanities Washington Program Director Ellen Terry, Greg Griffith of the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation, Susan Rohrer of the Washington State Historical Society and Bill Cole with the Department of Commerce’s Building for the Arts present a workshop on successful grant applications and crafting a strong, grant funded project.  Among the statewide grant programs covered will be the Valerie Sivinski Washington Preserves Fund administered by the Washington Trust for Historic Preservation; the Washington Heritage Barn Register and Historic County Courthouse Grant Program administered by the Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation; Opportunity Grants, Spark Grants and the new Washington Stories Fund all available from Humanities Washington; the Building for the Arts grant program administrated by the Washington State Department of Commerce; and the Heritage Capital Projects Fund administered by the Washington State Historical Society Grant presentations will conclude by 2 PM followed by a group discussion and breakout sessions with grant administrators until 4 PM. Tuesday, March 3, 2015. State Capital Museum Coach House, 10 AM to 4 PM. Space limited to 40 people, workshop is filling-email today! Morning and afternoon refreshments served, nearby lunch options plentiful. Workshop offered at no charge.
