Heritage Capital Grant Application Workshops Announced

Heritage Capital Projects grant applications are now available for funding in the 2019-2021 biennium.  If you are looking for money for heritage in the areas of new construction, improvements to existing structures or landscapes, acquisition of property, or historic preservation of buildings, this is for you.

Applications are due Friday, May 18, 2018.  Guidelines and application forms are published on the Washington State History Society’s website at  http://www.washingtonhistory.org/support/heritage/capitalprojectsfund/.  Application workshops will help you learn what is new to the program for this funding cycle, including changes to match criteria, request amounts, and allowable volunteer hourly rates.

If you have a project that is shovel ready, attend an application workshop to learn how you can submit the best application possible.  If you are considering a capital project in the future, you should attend to start learning now about how a Heritage Capital Projects grant can help you achieve your organization’s goals.  Nonprofits, local governments, tribal governments, and public development authorities are eligible to apply.

Multiple application workshops are scheduled statewide.   Attend to learn about Heritage Capital Projects grant funding guidelines, evaluation criteria, and other helpful information on preparing to apply.
