"Heritage Equals Jobs" - Crosscut.com Article Spells Out Importance of Heritage Programs

That was the message down in Olympia as heritage groups caucus to keep their programs alive and prove their worth. By Knute Berger Every Wednesday during the legislative session, the "Heritage Caucus" meets in Olympia to track and raise issues regarding historic preservation, museums, the arts, and other history- and culture-related programs. It's a ritual taking on urgency this year with so many heritage initiatives on the budget chopping block.
