HISTORY COMES ALIVE THIS WEEKEND AT HISTORIC FORT STEILACOOM

This Sunday, March 11 at 2:00 pm, Historic Fort Steilacoom presents Nancy Covert portraying Laura Belle, a true renaissance woman. Born  in 1853 at the age of two, she traveled with her family from Missouri to Steilacoom.  Growing up on Puget Sound, she later wrote books, music, a musical play, was a translator of the Chinook language, and a mining engineer. The re-enactment will take place in Quarters 2 at the Fort located in Lakewood. Donations will be accepted.
