In Tacoma this Saturday: Discover Cushman: Meet your 92 Year Old Neighbor

Tacoma's North End Neighborhood Council (NENC) and Tacoma Public Utilities (TPU) is hosting an outdoor event this Saturday September 22 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with a focus on the future of the Cushman Substation, listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a City of Tacoma designated Landmark. TPU will open the large side door so participants can view the building's interior. NENC will also have a "message board" available so you can post your ideas about future uses of the historic sub-station as TPU transitions the landmark building to more public access and enjoyment. Various non-profit organizations and agencies (including DAHP) will have information tables and displays during the event for browsing.
