INCREASING RESIDENTIAL BUILDING CAPACITY GRANT APPLICATIONS OPEN

In addition to the Defense Community Compatibility grant opportunity, the WA Department of Commerce (COM) also is accepting applications for Increasing Residential Building Capacity. This program results from the WA State Legislature's efforts to address the state's housing supply and affordability issue. This work can have direct impact upon and opportunity for historic housing units; historic districts; downtown and neighborhood commercial districts; adaptive re-use of historic properties for housing, and historic housing along transit corridors. The $5M in the grant pool will be divided between communities above and below the 20,000 population threshold.
