INVITATION TO CELEBRATE WASHINGTON'S NATIONAL MARITIME HERITAGE AREA

After years of hard work and with your support, we finally were successful in establishing a new Washington State National Maritime Area in the largest public lands package in more than a decade. Led by Senator Cantwell and with the strong support of the Washington State Congressional Delegation, the John D. Dingell Conservation, Management, and Recreation Act, which added Washington State to the National Maritime Heritage program, passed the U.S. Congress and was signed into law in March of this year. This designation will support both the preservation of heritage resources, promote tourism and create jobs in Washington State.
