The Masonry Institute of Washington and the Puget Sound Chapter of CSI are pleased to present a day of education on masonry construction! This program is ideal for architects, engineers, developers and others in the building design and construction industries. Classes are taught by experienced masonry industry professionals and are certified for continuing education credits. EVENT DETAILS: WHEN: November 4th, 2010; 8am-4:00pm WHERE: South Seattle Community College - Georgetown Campus 6737 Corson Avenue South Seattle, WA 98108 COST: Full Day - $25/Person (Lunch Included); Individual Classes - $10/Person per Class EVENT SCHEDULE: Registration: 8:00am-8:30am Class #1: 8:30am-9:45am - Masonry and the 2009 IBC (1 CEU) - Marc Holmes (I-XL Masonry Supplies) Class #2: 10:00am-11:15am - Working with Existing Masonry Buildings (1 CEU, 1 HSW, 1 SD) - Bob Mitchell (Pioneer Masonry Restoration) Class #3: 11:30am-12:45pm - Structural Design with Masonry (1 CEU) - John Tawresey (KPFF Consulting Engineers) Lunch: 12:45pm-1:30pm Class #4: 1:30pm-4:00pm - Playing in the Mud Hands-On Session (4 CEU's) Hands-on training in brick and block construction, tile setting and stone masonry.
