PRESERVATION GREEN LAB RELEASES WINDOWS STUDY

This week the Preservation Green Lab released Saving Windows, Saving Money: Evaluating the Energy Performance of Window Retrofit and Replacement. This study compared retrofit and replacement options for older wood windows and finds retrofit measures can achieve performance results comparable to new replacement windows. Furthermore, almost every retrofit option offers a better return on Investment than replacement windows. Here is a handout: Windows Fact Sheet.
