REMINDER: Complete the Survey for the State Historic Preservation Plan Update

The Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation (DAHP) has launched work to update the current State Historic Preservation Plan 2014-19: Getting the Future Right. To gauge public support for preservation efforts and gain your opinions about the issues to address in the plan, the State Historic Preservation Plan Steering Committee has developed an online survey for you to provide your input. If you have not already provided your responses, please go to:  http://www.dahp.wa.gov/preservationplan. The survey should take you about 11 minutes to complete although your additional comments and insights are appreciated. The survey will be posted through June but may be extended to gain additional public input.

Results of the survey will be provided to the SHPO and the Steering Committee to review and consider. From that point, work will entail formulating planning goals, strategies, and tasks to incorporate in the new plan that is to take effect in spring 2019. Questions about the State Historic Preservation Plan can be directed to Greg Griffith at greg.griffith@dahp.wa.gov or 360-586-3073.

Thank you for your participation.
