Scholarship Opportunity for CLG Commissioners and Staff

The Washington State Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation will be giving $5000 worth of scholarships to the National Alliance for Preservation Commission's Biennial Conference - Forum 2014 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on July 15-20th (for more conference information, see their website here).  Forum will bring hundreds of commission members, municipal staff, and preservation professionals from across the country to Philadelphia for five days of training, networking, exploring, and fun! We will offer a maximum of 10 - $500 scholarships, if we receive fewer applications, we will adjust the amount of the scholarships accordingly (but the minimum award will be $500). Scholarships can be used to reimburse for travel, conference fees, per diem and transportation. *Scholarships are only available to Washington State CLG staff or commissioners in communities that are in good standing. Scholarships are awarded primarily on a first-come, first-served basis. ***Please only apply if you are committed to attending the conference - in the past we have had last minute cancellations that make it impossible for someone else to take the vacated place, so only apply if you are sure you'll attend.
