SHORT COURSE ON PRESERVATION AND REVITALIZATION IN HOQUIAM

In coordination with the Washington State Department of Commerce, the Planning Association of Washington, and the Washington Cities Insurance Authority, the City of Hoquiam hosts

 A Custom Short Course on Local Planning Focusing on Historic Preservation and Downtown Revitalization

Wednesday, July 11, 2012 from 6:30 – 9:30 PM at the Hoquiam City Hall – Council Chambers 609 8th Street in Hoquiam, WA

The Short Course is a great training opportunity for Mayors, Council Members, Planning and Historic Preservation Commission Members, Advisory Board Members, Downtown and Development Association Members, City Clerks and Staff, Administrators, Attorneys, Planning Consultants and Community Members to learn more about planning and community development, how goals and strategies can be integrated, and how to be effectively involved.  Two training segments will be presented by volunteer professionals with expertise on the legal basis of planning in Washington, and with integrating preservation and downtown revitalization with comprehensive planning and implementation.
