Student Grant Opportunity - Society of Architectural Historians

The Society of Architectural Historians Marion Dean Ross (PNW) chapter is excited to announce a new grant program for Young Professionals, rounding out our portfolio of grants for students and general research awards. The new Shirley L. Courtois Young Professionals Research Award will join our Wendell L. Lovett Student Research Award and Elisabeth Walton Potter (EWP) Research Award to encourage full participation in the SAHMDR chapter. The Shirley Courtois and Wendell Lovett awards are intended to assist with travel to the annual SAHMDR conference in order to present papers, whereas the EWP award funds professional research and supports publications. All awards further the chapter’s mission to increase awareness and knowledge of the architectural heritage of the Pacific Northwest. For further information and application guidance please see the chapter’s website at: http://www.sahmdr.org/.  Note that the upcoming annual meeting will be June 21-23, 2019 in Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, and Wallace, Idaho. Also please note that abstracts for papers are due in a short three weeks, on March 10, 2019. Please see the chapter website or Facebook page for more information (Society of Architectural Historians Marion Dean Ross / Pacific NW Chapter).
