TACOMA CELEBRATES PT. DEFIANCE PAGODA REOPENING

The Metropolitan Park District of Tacoma celebrates the re-opening of the historic Pagoda at Point Defiance Park this Saturday, January 12 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. Built in 1914 as a station for the city’s street car line, the building suffered significant damage from an arson fire in 2011. Without question, the Park District immediately began planning to rehabilitate the building to continue as a local landmark for another 100 years.
