USFS Archaeologist Rick McClure is Retiring

RangerRickMcClureAfter 34 years with the U.S. Forest Service Gifford Pinchot National Forest, long time Archaeologist Rick McClure is retiring. Fellow archaeologist and spouse Cheryl Mack is joining with friends and Forest Service colleagues to host a celebration on Saturday, September 20th at 5:00 pm at the Trout Lake Grange Hall in Trout Lake in the shadow of Mt. Adams. During his career with the Forest Service, Rick demonstrated his keen insights and high standards in researching and preserving archaeological site and cultural resources across the Northwest.  After retirement, he plans to travel, enjoy spending time with his family, and continue his passion to learn and write about cultural resources.  State Historic Preservation Officer Allyson Brooks and DAHP staff send sincere congratulations on a successful career and all the best in retirement.
