SEATTLE CITY LIGHT'S GTSP AND FT WORDEN RECEIVE SAT GRANTS

The National Park Service (NPS) has announced the award of two Save America's Treasures (SAT) grants to help preserve historic properties in Washington State: Seattle City Light's Georgetown Steam Plant and Building 305 (the Quartermasters Office and Storehouse) at Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend. Each project will receive $500,000 to help restore these designated National Historic Landmarks (NHL). The highly competitive SAT historic preservation grant program made awards to 41 projects in 22 states and the District of Columbia for a total of $12.7M.
