Modern Resources Workshop to be held in Spokane and Everett

/sites/default/files/Mid_CenturyWorkshop_0.jpgThe Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation along with the City of Everett is proud to bring a workshop to both sides of the state on Modern Resources. Everett, through a CLG grant, contracted with the National Alliance of Preservation Commissions to plan the workshop.  Wade Broadhead from Colorado and Jo Ramsay Leimenstoll from North Carolina will join Washington state's Architectural Historian, Michael Houser, to explore how to recognize, identify, evaluate, and apply standards to this emerging resource type. This workshop is geared toward the professional consulting community as well as historic preservation commissioners and staff. The workshops will be held in both Spokane and Everett.  The Spokane workshop will be held on Friday, June 13th from 9 am to 3 pm at the Spokane City Hall Council Chambers at 808 W. Spokane Falls Blvd. (directions on their website and parking information ). Council Chambers are on the lower level of City Hall.  The Everett workshop will be held on Saturday, June 14th from 9 am to 3 pm in the Everett Performing Arts Center at 2710 Wetmore Avenue (for directions and parking, please see their website). The workshop is free, but we do ask that you register online so we can get an idea of how many participants we may have in each location. You can find the registration, speaker information and a preliminary agenda on our website here.
