Bellingham Ranked as 8th Best Downtown in 2014

The International Downtown Association (IDA) has released its 2014 rankings of the Top 10 Best Downtowns in the U.S. with Bellingham showing up  in the 8^th spot just ahead of ninth ranked Eugene.  Livability.com cited 2,400 new residents and 7,500 workers  enjoy downtown Bellingham’s walkability; street life; access to arts, entertainment, and recreation opportunities, and visually appealing architecture and streetscapes. It also mentions the restored Mt. Baker Theatre and Whatcom Museum as other places that have made downtown Bellingham attractive to new residents and businesses. Read more here.
