Join Us for the 2014 Pacific Northwest History Conference--Registration Deadline is March 30, 2014

Don’t miss out on one of the premier events for Northwest historians.  The “Citizenships in the Pacific Northwest” conference will be held April 3-5, 2014 at the Red Lion Hotel Vancouver at the Quay in Vancouver, Washington. Registration deadline is March 30, 2014.  Full program and registration here.                                                                                                                                                   Highlights:
  • Pre-Conference Oral History Showcase organized by the Northwest Oral History Association with presentations on approaches to sensitive topics, using interviews in historic preservation, oral history in reader’s theater and other productions, and human subjects review and informed consent.
  • Pre-Conference THATCamp.
  • Special tours of Fort Vancouver National Historic Site and Confluence Vancouver Land Bridge.
  • Welcome reception at Clark County Historical Museum.
  • Twenty-eight general sessions with presentations from outstanding regional scholars beginning at 1:30 pm on April 3 and concluding at noon on April 5.
  • Poster presentations and sharing of new research.
  • Featured speakers include Washington Secretary of State Kim Wyman and noted scholar Dr. Roger Daniels, Charles Phelps Taft Professor Emeritus of History, University of Cincinnati.
  • Free admission with registration to the Oregon History Museum, Architectural Heritage Center and Oregon Nikkei Legacy Center.
