LEWIS & CLARK NATIONAL HISTORIC TRAIL SEEKS YOUR COMMENTS FOR PLAN
Aug 16, 2010
The Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail has announced the start of its effort to develop a Comprehensive Management Plan (CMP) for this National Park Service (NPS) unit. Stretching from Illinois to the mouth of the Columbia River, the trail traces the route of Lewis & Clark's Corps of Discovery Expedition of 1804-06. The NPS is providing the public two opportunities to learn more and comment on the CMP for the Historic Trail: To comment on-line, go tohttp://parkplanning.nps.gov/lecl. Also, the NPS will be hosting a series of public meetings along the trail from August through September. For those of us in Washington State, there are two remaining public meetings that are convenient to attend: On September 8 at Sacajawea State Park in Pasco and on September 9 at the Oregon Historical Society in downtown Portland. Both meetings start at 7:00 p.m.
