DAHP is currently hiring for a Preservation Design Reviewer. An independent position charged with the responsibility to conduct project reviews as mandated under the National Historic Preservation Act and to implement regulations. A significant focus will be to make determinations for National Register eligibility and effect on behalf of the Built Environment Unit in collaboration with Archaeology unit staff. In addition, this position will be the lead in coordinating and implementing the agency's education and outreach effort including training.
We are seeking a passionate individual who meets the qualifications of the Historic Preservation Professionals as defined in the Code of Federal Regulations (36 CFR Part 61). A person who is knowledgeable on federal and state laws and regulations as it pertains to historic and archaeological properties but enjoys training and sharing expertise in the field too. A northwest native who know the area's rich cultural history is a huge plus!
