The Department of Archaeology and Historic Preservation has recently received the  new federal 2009 Historic Preservation Tax Incentive (Investment Tax Credit) Brochures.  Text in the brochure reflects recent changes in the Internal Revenue Code. The most important of these is the fact that the alternative minimum tax no longer applies to qualified rehabilitation expenditures "properly taken into account for periods after December 31, 2007" (page 20). The Campbell House is reopening on Wednesday, October 7, 2009 after a nine-month closure. This historic house museum, beloved by the public since 1926, is the largest artifact and most permanent exhibit at the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture (MAC). Historic Homeowners Tax Bill Last week, Representatives Russ Carnahan (D-MO) and Mike Turner (R-OH) introduced H.R. 3670, the Historic Homeowners Revitalization Act of 2009.
